becoming vegetarian
A little over 3 weeks ago I realized I was not as healthy as I thought. My family medical history has diabetes, Heart Diease, Hypertension and colon cancer. I guess I just closed my eyes and pushed it to the back of mind and thought I won't get any of that. Well I have 4 children and I really want to be around for them 20 years from now. I started with my eating habits and decided no more red meat. It actually has been a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. My family and some of my friends think i'm nuts. My boyfriend on the other hand has been very supportive. It has been a very easy transition. I have actually lost 4 lbs and feel great. Next goal is to increase my water intake and start a regular exercise routine. When my co-workers want to get something to eat they ask me what I want and I just tell them I will be able to find something where ever we go. We actually went to a BBQ resturant and I got a salad with black beans and a baked potato. Hopefully I will be able to stick with the healthy choices and continue with my vegetarian diet.

Soccer weekend
Well my life at the soccer fields has officially started back up again this weekend with my youngest daughter Amanda. They played in a tournament an hour away from my home. She finally is getting to play a foward position and in the 5 games they played she scored 5 goals out of the 12. I enjoy watching but hate sitting out in the cold wet weather. I am sure there are plenty of people who can relate. I don't hate the game of soccer, but I do wish I never started allowing my girls to play Competitive Club soccer. It is expensive and very time consuming.
Heres how it goes you have try-outs first week in July and then practices start right up then they play up until Christmas break and then start practicing the first part of January and don't stop until end of June. So basically they play non stop all year long!!!!! During Christmas break they usually hit you up to have them play some indoor soccer. Your family vacations are when you have tournamnets cause well you can't plan them because of SOCCER. No matter how cold or hot the weather gets they have them practice. Some of the parents live breath and eat soccer and think having them play competitive soccer is going to get them the soccer scholarship for college. Alot of parents are lead to beleive that the recruiters only come out the clubs to scout the kids, but they do go to the high schools also. Besides not every one of the kids playing club are going to get scholarships. I just wonder what happened to letting our kids play for fun? As long as my girls are having fun playing that's all that matters to me! I have seen parents yell at their kids for not making goals or letting a girl get by them. Parents take it way to serious and push the kids to the point that they don't enjoy playing and they quit.
Wow I so went off track about my weekend. Well any how the weekend ended with my boyfriend becoming very sick with a cold and my 13 year old daughter also becoming ill. So last night I made the trip to Wal-greens for cold medicine and to stock back up on tylenol and motrin for the fever. I guess I am in for a long week with sick kids, cause it never fails they spread their illness to each other and sometimes they share with me. Aren't they sweet?!?!

IS this how you do it?
Where do you start? Very new to this and I decided to start this because of my dearest closest friend Kim whom I love very much suggested it to me. I am sure I will get the hang of it and become a regular blogger.
